Fairy-Tale Heirloom – “Puss in Boots” Upcycled Spoon Ring

Once upon a time… a children’s “Puss in Boots” spoon grew up and became a ring with serious main-character energy.

Hand-crafted from authentic vintage silverplate flatware, this band preserves the original relief artwork: a bright-eyed cat perched with a ball of yarn on one panel, and the “PUSS IN BOOTS” title with those unmistakable boots on the other. Deep carving, high polish, and gently rounded edges turn a storybook into wearable sculpture.

Provenance you can brag about:

“Puss in Boots” children’s flatware was produced by multiple American makers—most notably Regal Silver Co. (pattern name Puss N Boots, now discontinued) and 1881 Rogers/Oneida—often in silverplate sets for little diners. This ring’s lettering and figural panels match these documented patterns; Replacements and period listings show near-identical spoons and forks marked REGAL SILVER CO or 1881 ROGERS.

And the lore? “Puss in Boots” is the classic tale popularized by Charles Perrault (1697)—the cunning cat who turns wit into fortune. Wearing this ring is a nod to cleverness, luck, and a little harmless mischief.
